The Laurus Summer Camp Counsellor Team
Hi everyone! My name is Jaclyn, and I can’t wait to be spending the summer with Laurus Summer Camp! I’m currently a student finishing their second year in psychology at McGill University, but in my free time I like to go for runs around Mont Royal, play any sort of sport imaginable, and read a good book. If I could be an animal, I’d probably want to be a fox, because if you’ve ever seen the movie “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” you’ll have to agree that foxes are pretty fantastic. Otherwise, I think I would be a slow loris simply because they're super adorable! Originally from beautiful (and rainy) British Columbia, I'm looking forward to a wonderful Montreal summer with some pretty amazing campers and counsellors. Hope to see you there!

Raumina was born in Vancouver, BC; raised in (way too many) suburbs of Toronto,ON; and now finds her home in Montreal, QC. She is currently a student at McGill University in the Kindergarten/Elementary B.Ed. program in her pursuit of becoming an elementary school teacher. Her two big passions in life have been working with children and theatre, both of which she has been doing for as long as she can remember. She attended an arts high school, Unionville High School, specializing in theatre, involving 4 years of intensive practice. She was also the captain of Unionville High School’s Improvisation team, and now is a judge, trainer, and overall volunteer for the Montreal circuit of the Canadian Improv games. She also takes great joy in community life and finds a place on McGill's Education Undergraduate Society as her year’s representative, as well as looks forward to her role as coordinator in planning Education Orientation 2014 for incoming students.
